Arizona-based Team Go-Scooter-Go Racing have finalized terms with TSE owners Scotty Ryan and Mark Stiles, and details include TSE traveling with the Team to the 2010 Isle of Man TT in May.

“This partnership with Trackside Suspension and Engineering fills a critical need for Team success at the 2010 TT, given the toll the 37 3/4 mile road course takes on a suspension setup and rider alike,” said Team rider Scott Harwood.  ”Having Scotty and Mark as an expert resource right there trackside gives me total confidence that the race bikes will be ready to perform flawlessly.”

TSE’s Mark Stiles added “Trackside Suspension & Engineering would like to thank the Go-Scooter-Go race team for choosing us to be a part of their 2010 racing program. We are proud to be part of the American contingent participating in this prestigious event.”

Serpent Racing Turns a Page in History at Daytona

Daytona International Speedway, 02/29/2008

On February 29th, at Daytona International Speedway, Serpent Racing won the ASRA Team Challenge GTU class riding a Ducati 848. Riders Jason Temme of Palatine, IL and Scott Harwood of Chandler, AZ made history when they brought Ducati their first win on the new 848 in North America.

The ASRA Team Challenge was a 52 lap endurance race consisting of three classes, GTO, GTU and GT Lights. The Team had entries in both GTO and GTU.

The... GTU... entry of Jason Temme and Scott Harwood followed their team mates into fourth overall and first in the GTU class. The only bikes to finish in front of the pair’s Ducati were all 1000cc machines. The pair ran the distance on one set of Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa tires. “The Pirellis held up great, "commented Temme.  "Even after I pushed them hard early, I ran off the track and had to play catch-up for a while. The bike was flawless and is so good in the draft here.  The aerodynamics of this bike are amazing and we were very fast in the tri-oval.” Harwood added, “The bike worked really well and even when the tire went off, the power delivery was such that it was easy to ride and very predicable. Jason and I are both glad we were able to bring this early victory to the team and to Ducati.”

Moon's Super Cycle II's Martinez And Harwood Win ASRA Team Challenge At Summit Point

ASRA Team Challenge Round 5 – Summit Point Raceway

Moon’s Super Cycle II Dominates at Summit.

From the drop of the green flag it was all Moon’s Super Cycle II for the next 78 laps as Calvin Martinez and crew displayed a mastery of Summit Point Raceway not seen before. This Mid-West based team wasn’t supposed to dominate the race the way they did, as local favorites Fast Lane Cycle (Rick Beggs & Kevin Tate) had the most experienced team with hundreds if not thousands of laps around Summit Point, but were unable to translate the seat time into a win. The only machine to give serious chase to Moon’s II was Speedwerks Racing (Geoff Doyer & Charlie Coleman) the eventual winner of the GTU class. In the end, Speedwerks was able to keep their hopes alive by unlapping themselves when Scott Harwood, riding for the defending champion Moon’s Super Cycle II, pitted for the first time at lap 55 giving Doyer and Coleman an opening they were not able to capitalize on. Speedwerks Racing, the GTU winner, finished as the only other bike on the lead lap with the overall winner Moon’s Super Cycle.

In the GTO class it was Moon’s, with Calvin Martinez and Harwood followed by Fast Lane Racing GTO, then the Reach Around Racing Team of Shay Marlin, Jeremy Turner and John Jenkins aboard. The Mid-Illini/NFC Racing machine had an early tumble that took them out of contention, but the soldiered on to finish fourth on GTO and 13th Overall.

CS Carey Racing Team Lead New Crop of Winners at Heartland Cyclefest After the exciting rounds of racing at Daytona and Carolina Motorsports Park, ASRA Team Challenge blew into the Heart of America CycleFest at Heartland Park-Topeka full force on Friday April 24 for Round 3 of the National Championship.

Second in GTU and Third Overall was Serpent Racing 1, featuring rider Kevin Gordon with his first race out of retirement and the potent duo of Harwood-Martinez. The Serpent Racing Team riders, who flew out to VIR immediately after the event to compete in the MOTO-ST event, were pleased to leave round 3 with the top two spots in the overall series point standings. Following in third place for the GTU class was Central
States Racing, with Matthew Flowers and Paul Gilchrist riding, whose fourth Overall finish moved them up into the number 3 position in the Overall ASRA Team Challenge Championship.

Multi-time National Champion riders Calvin Martinez and Scott Harwood took the Serpent Racing 2 entry to the win in GTO and second Overall. Second in class, KHP Racing, with Jesse Lehman, Tim Aslum and Ray Hofman aboard, held off the "older" , (both Steve Davis and Greg William are over 50 years young), team of Silverback Racing on the way to their first podium finish in Team Challenge competition.

MOONS CYCLE II CAPTURES CONSECUTIVE TEAM CHALLENGE TITLES

For the first time in ASRA Team Challenge history, the top four machines Overall were the winners of the four classes competing in Round 7 of the 2006 Championships. Moon’s Cycle II, Team Allstars.com, Fast Lane Racing GTU and Dafan Zhang all won their individual classes and were the top four on the overall rundown after a 20 minute red flag delay shortened the event from 67 laps to 61 for the winners.

Just like they had it scripted, Moon’s Cycle II jumped out to an early lead in the GTO and Overall classes and left the entire field struggling to keep the pace. Unlike earlier events though, Moon’s plans were challenged early and often by the Fast Lane GTU Team and the eventual GTL winner Team Allstars.com. Both teams were able to keep the defending champions in sight and the pressure on. After one red flag and 2 hours of competition, five machines finished 61 laps to keep the outcome in doubt until the checkered flag flew over the new GTO and Overall Champions Moon’s Cycle II with Calvin Martinez and Scott Harwood.
